Makenzie and Josh’s wedding day made my job feel like such a privilege and honor! There was so much joy and love in this family. Makenzie and Josh tied the knot in the adorable town of Russellville, Kentucky. The home she got ready in was a family friend’s and was so white and gorgeous inside! I had a ball trying to decide where to photograph her details, and was able to take stunning bridal portraits of Makenzie! It was certainly a challenge choosing my favorite images to share from this big day.
Of course, our wedding day is always special, but Makenzie is the oldest of five, so she is the first to tie the knot in her family! Coming from a big family myself, I can empathize with how happy and emotional her family must have felt on this special day!! I mean it when I say every part of this day felt special, and tears flowed all day long. From getting ready, to the father daughter first look, and exchanging of the vows- people were wiping away tears (including myself).
There were several details from this day that I was obsessed with. The bridal party dresses were sewn just for them by Normony Designs. The bouquets and florals were designed by Chastacee Gidcumb, who also owns the home where the bridal party got ready on this gorgeous day! That bridal bouquet was stunning, and BIG- just like Makenzie wanted it! Makenzie and Josh’s written vows to each other were also such a sweet, tear-inducing detail.
I was so grateful to be a part of this memorable day, and I wish this sweet couple many, many years of happiness together! I’m so glad our paths crossed! Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Canler!
