Thanks for stopping by! I'm Katie, a Kentucky wedding photographer. You've stumbled across my blog! Here you will find wedding day highlights, romantic engagement sessions, helpful information for brides, and the occasional personal update, too.
This past weekend I had the wonderful opportunity to serve Audrey and Justin on their wedding day. I had been looking forward to Audrey and Justin’s special day for months on end!
If you’ve been following along this week, you might have noticed that Audrey Rose Photography took some anniversary photos for us! I know, I know. Our anniversary isn’t until June!…. Today I want to share with you some of my key takeaways from being on the OTHER side of the lens. As a photographer, I can sometimes get into the zone and forget what it feels like to be a client.
Before Ryan and I said our vows, I remember how eager I was to ask newlyweds what marriage was like. I loved picking their brains, and trying to prepare for our first year of marriage. Looking back, there are certain things I’m glad we did before the big day. Today, I want to share some concrete ways you can prepare for your first year of marriage and beyond.
“How do you have time for all of that?”
“Are you exhausted all of the time?” (It’s the caffeine that keeps me sane!)
So, I never thought I would actually write a blog post on this topic, but it’s been on my mind this week as I have truly felt the pressure of juggling my day job, photography, and family time!
