I'm Katie, a Kentucky wedding photographer. You've stumbled across my blog! Here you will find wedding day highlights, romantic engagement sessions, helpful information for brides, and the occasional personal update, too.
If you were around last January, you might remember when I shared my 2018 goals. You can read that blog post here. I thought of that blog post all year long, as I marked off the goals one by one. I really believe in having goals, writing them down, and keeping them at the front […]
When I look back on this year, I am honestly speechless at the opportunities I had to grow my business, and the wonderful clients I worked with. My first booking goal for 2018 was 5 weddings. I would have been totally happy booking 5 weddings! In the end, I shot 15 weddings in 2018. I […]
It feels like FOREVER since I have done a blog post! I am being honest when I say I have missed it a lot. Blogging is actually one of my favorite ways to connect. Thank you so much for being patient while I have ironed out the kinks with my new website, and figured out […]
If you’ve been following along this week, you might have noticed that Audrey Rose Photography took some anniversary photos for us! I know, I know. Our anniversary isn’t until June!…. Today I want to share with you some of my key takeaways from being on the OTHER side of the lens. As a photographer, I can sometimes get into the zone and forget what it feels like to be a client.
“How do you have time for all of that?”
“Are you exhausted all of the time?” (It’s the caffeine that keeps me sane!)
So, I never thought I would actually write a blog post on this topic, but it’s been on my mind this week as I have truly felt the pressure of juggling my day job, photography, and family time!
One thing I truly believe in as a wedding photographer is that it’s important for my clients and me to jive. I always explain to my potential clients that they will be spending A LOT of time with me on their wedding day. And, I will be there during the most personal moments, too. It’s important that you can imagine me being there on your wedding day, which is why I hope to open up more to my clients and potentials clients in 2018!
With that being said, here are 10 things you probably didn’t know about me:
Do you have a New Year’s resolution or goals for the year? My personal resolution is to take life (and myself) less seriously. This year, I hope to just spend a little more time relaxing and enjoying the moment.
I also have some goals for my wedding photography business and goals to improve my skillz (Yes with a z, stop trying to correct me spellcheck!)
