Did you notice? Alicia and Ross are wearing my branding colors! You guys just made my day! I’m going to have to post these photos all over the place! I have blush, navy, and lots of florals. This is pretty much all I could ever ask for from an engagement session!
And, on a side note, if you are a couple struggling with what to wear to your session, I believe these two did a wonderful job choosing their outfits! Alicia told me she followed the tips I provided and looked all through my blog, which made me SO happy! The reason this makes me happy is because I believe I can provide my clients with images they will LOVE if they are looking and FEELING their absolute best!
Alicia chose the engagement session location, and she absolutely nailed it! We had perfect timing for the Western Kentucky Botanical Garden. As beautiful as peonies are, their blooms don’t last long at all. The blooms were large and beautiful on this day. When Alicia and Ross had visited just a couple weeks before, not nearly as much was in bloom. Thankfully, their initial date was rained out, and left us with this!
Alicia is from Northern California, and moved to Kentucky to attend nursing school, where she met Ross. They are now both practicing nurses.
Ross grew up in Owensboro, which is where this engagement session took place. For the second half of the session, we ventured to downtown Owensboro. It’s right on the river, and is a very family-friendly, fun hangout spot. I really enjoyed checking it out!
When I asked for three words to describe their relationship they said silly, comfortable, and loving. They are tying the knot this October at the Country Plantation House! This will be my third wedding at this venue. I’m excited to capture Alicia and Ross at such a classic, southern venue!
