You guys, I’m so excited to share this downtown Louisville engagement session!!I first met Shannon and Nick downtown at Proof On Main.  If you are local and haven’t been to this bar before, I definitely recommend it!  The decor is right on par with what you would expect from a bar connected to the hip and contemporary 21C.  It was so great to relax with these two and learn more about them before we got started, especially in such a neat spot.  I learned that Shannon is a food scientist which really caught my attention!  What an interesting and unique job!  We also bonded over our love for pups.  Coincidentally, these two used the same dog trainer that we are using right now for Summer!  It’s such a small world sometimes.

Nick proposed with only 42 seconds left in 2018.  What a wonderful way to ring in the new year together!  I seriously love the three words they used to describe their relationship: Dream team, home, and supportive.  What more do you need than that?

Since their wedding venue is more on the natural, greenery side, they wanted to completely switch it up for their engagement session!  They wanted photos with some of the more iconic spots in downtown Louisville!  So, we made it happen.  From the Louisville Slugger baseball bat, to the Belle of Louisville, and sunset photos on the river- we got a little bit of all kinds of things.  They even let me take them to a very specific wall in Nulu that I’ve been dying to use for portraits. 🙂 Aren’t they the best?

Needless to say, we had a lot of fun exploring Louisville on this beautiful day, and getting to know each other.  I’m excited to share some of the highlights!! Enjoy!!
