For this Yew Dell engagement session I was so excited not only to shoot here for the first time, but to meet Rachel and Madison. They drove all the way from Western Kentucky just to get photos at this beautiful location, and I couldn’t be happier they made the drive! We were greeted with a sunny day, and even a slight breeze. The gardens were quiet, which was perfect for this sweet couple’s engagement session!!
They have such a calm demeanor about them that makes it so easy to be around them. I just loved spending time with them for their Fall session, and I cannot wait for their June wedding. I’m so glad our paths crossed. Enjoy!
Do you know the history of Yew Dell? It’s pretty interesting and you can read about it here! “Yew Dell Botanical Gardens is the former home, garden, and commercial nursery of the late nursery-industry leader Theodore Klein. Starting in 2001 and continuing to today, his unique collection of rare garden plants, display gardens, and eclectic architectural features have been developed into a major horticultural display, education, and research center. Because of its natural beauty, Yew Dell is a wonderful setting for weddings…” And, of course, a Yew Dell engagement session!
You cannot go wrong with this location for a wedding or engagement session! In fact, I even included it in my top 8 list of Kentucky Venues I Would Love to Photograph!

[…] Crestwood, Kentucky, Yew Dell is rustic and charming. They charge $75 for sessions and they tend to close before sunset so the session will need to be a little earlier than I typically plan. View a Yew Dell Engagement Session […]
