Sharing this downtown Lexington wedding day brings a smile to my face! It was one of those days where I couldn’t believe this is my job. When I get to work for people like Emily and James, I feel so lucky. They are so kind and they love each other so much. This is why I am a wedding photographer- so I can document love stories like this, for people like them!
When Emily told me the she wanted a wedding day with a touch of Christmas I was giddy. Ha! Yeah, I’m obsessed with Christmas. I’m exactly the kind of person who listens to Christmas music way too early. Emily and Joli Events & Design managed to give this wedding just the right touch of Christmas! It was classy and elegant. I loved the hunter green bridesmaids dresses, the bouquets with white poinsettias, and Emily’s fur cape to help keep her warm. Emily walked down the aisle in the veil that her mother and grandmother both wore on their wedding days. It was all placed against the perfect Christmas backdrop of the beautiful Church of the Good Shepherd decorated for advent season.
Just ten days before Christmas Eve, there was something so sweet and special in the air on Emily and James’ wedding day. It simply felt magical!
I’m so happy to share some of my favorite details from this wonderful downtown Lexington wedding day! Enjoy!
