Wedding Vendor Guest Post: Rebecca’s Wedding Boutique

Planning

Today is a special type of blog post!  I’ve decided to collaborate with some of my favorite vendors in hopes of providing resources and knowledge to couples beyond photography!

I am happy to highlight Louisville’s most chic wedding boutique!  A lot of my brides choose to work with Rebecca’s Wedding Boutique to find THE dress!  We all know how fun and important this experience is (and, it really should be an experience).

I love hearing about how my brides found the dress, if it was what they always envisioned themselves in, and who they brought along to help them make the decision.  You’ll never forget that day!!

Today, Rebecca’s tell us what they wish brides knew when searching for their wedding dress, how they got their start, and how you can reach them!

I highly recommend giving Rebecca’s Wedding Boutique a look on Instagram!  They are an A+ instagram follow for brides looking for wedding inspo!

Our owner, Rebecca Kimura, opened Rebecca’s in 1989 in the St. Matthews neighborhood of Louisville, KY when she was 27 years old. We moved a few blocks over to our current location at 211 Clover Lane in May 2018 after a complete renovation, and we love how bright, open, and glamorous our new space is!

Our customers enjoy all the unique details throughout the boutique: When you walk in for your bridal appointment at Rebecca’s, you are welcomed into our foyer with our signature black and white floor and flower mural, before going to your individual dressing and viewing room for you and your shopping squad. All of our rooms are all named after flowers and decorated with modern, chic finishes. Then, you can explore the beautiful gowns in our bridal showroom with our tall ceilings and chandeliers, and one of our fabulous, expert Bridal Stylists will be there to assist you along the way as you choose dresses and try them on.Rebecca's Wedding Boutique

We have a gorgeous selection of wedding dresses from amazing designers with a wide variety of styles: from boho to classic, modern to traditional, strapless to long sleeves, all lace, all beaded, all satin, and everything in between. We are a boutique run by women of all sizes, that loves to help women of all sizes feel beautiful on their wedding day. Our dresses are sampled in size 8-30, with over 60 plus size gowns sizes 18-30. We also have stunning veils and accessories, and love to help our brides find those perfect finishing touches to complete their wedding day look.

We are proud to be a local, small family business that is run by women, with both of Rebecca’s daughters working for the boutique. Her daughter Alex is the Marketing Manager (and she painted the flower mural where our brides take their “Yes to the Dress” photos), and her other daughter Sam is in charge of the ordering department. Rebecca’s twin Karen also works with us!

And although they aren’t related by blood, our amazing team of Stylists are like family to us too! These hard working women support each other and love what they do. We take our work personally because it is personal, for us and for our customers, and we want to do everything we can to make sure you feel like you are a part of our family too as you find the fabulous gown that you will wear to marry the love of your life!

We believe bridal shopping should be one of the best experiences of your wedding journey, and we have so much fun working with our brides! We have met so many wonderful women over the last 30 years and counting of being in business and we can truly say that we are grateful for the opportunity and the joy of working with each of them. Every bride brings with them their unique vision and their own beautiful love story, and it’s an incredible honor to play a part in the most special day of their lives. We all do what we do at Rebecca’s because we love LOVE, and we get to help each woman that walks through our door feel gorgeous, confident, and so excited to walk down that aisle in a dress that is perfect for them.

Rebecca's Wedding Boutique

Rebecca's Wedding BoutiqueWe are currently closed in order to keep our families and our customers safe during the coronavirus pandemic, but we are hoping we will be able to open again soon! We are scheduling tentative appointments starting May 15th, and you can go to our website rebeccasweddings.com to book your appointment! We typically recommend that brides purchase their gown at least 9 months before their wedding if possible, because it can take 4-6 months for bridal gowns to come in from the designer, and we recommend allowing 2-3 months for any alterations needed. But if you are on a tighter time frame, don’t worry- there are always other options, including rush shipping a gown or purchasing a dress from our collection of inventory. We have hundreds of beautiful gowns that are available for immediate purchase!

We are happy to answer any questions or concerns you might have about navigating bridal shopping during this difficult time- we are here to help however we can! Feel free to explore our website to see the designers we carry, and check out our social media (@rebeccasweddings) where we share photos of gorgeous dresses we have in our boutique, bride and wedding inspo, and photos of our stunning #RebeccasBrides on their big days!
