This is probably the most difficult year to pinpoint my goals. After a year like 2020, I have to admit, I’m dealing with some fear over what 2021 may hold. But, I’m still hopeful that 2021 will pan out as it’s written in the calendar! It’s tough to come up with plans and goals, when I’m not sure what I’ll be able to do socially- will I be able to go to a coffee shop and work with friends, plan a styled shoot, or go to a workshop? I don’t have a ton of hope that those things are going to happen, so I’m going to have to stretch myself in other ways.
Honestly, 2019 was a great year. I grew so much, booked more than ever, and just absolutely fell in love with what I do. I thought 2020 would have the same momentum, and COVID pretty much killed it. This year I get to shoot at venues and with vendors who have been on my radar for awhile, but a small part of my heart is afraid COVID is going to take it away from me and the brides I love. I hope it won’t be long before we can look back (sans masks) and be grateful we made it through this pandemic. So, with slight reservation, here are my goals:
It feels great to write these out and share them! I do this every year, and even though I don’t always reach my goals, and things NEVER go as I plan, I make a little bit of progress every year. One of my favorite quotes ever (not sure who said it): “Those who fail to plan, plan to fail.”
