Whoops, it’s kind of like I fell off the face of the Earth for June and July, but it’s actually quite the opposite! I have had so many weddings that I can’t keep things straight. In a regular wedding season, I would never book so many things back-to-back, but with regular bookings, and COVID reschedules, this has been the craziest year I’ve ever had. I have struggled tremendously with the amount of guilt I feel over not getting weddings back to my clients fast enough… While also working hard to find balance in my life with work and personal time, which is really important to me.
I’ve picked up a few new hobbies this year. I am reading a lot more, doing yoga, and crocheting. So, I’ve found a lot of joy in my spare time. And, we’ve been harvesting from our little herb cart! We’ve had mint, basil, poblanos, and cayennes! We’ve also had DELICIOUS tomatoes that I can’t get enough of! We had to re-plant those because they were way too big for the herb cart. So, I’ve found plenty of things to do when I’m not working.
I have to remind myself that I can’t work myself into the ground, and I can’t produce great results if I overwork myself. I’m not measured by my productivity. So, it’s been a battle of stepping back when I’ve done enough work for the day and feeling OK about that.
With all of that being said, I feel ready to dive back into my regular posting routines in August. I have a lot of stuff I want to share! And, I have some fun things coming up!
These are my August goals and I’m excited! August is one of my favorite months of the year. It was always an exciting time growing up because it meant back-to-school supplies, and birthdays! My birthday is in August and so is my little sister’s. So, it was always an exciting time. Growing up, my granny had a pool, so we usually had a pool party with family.
I hope you all are enjoying your Summer as much as I am! Remember sunscreen!!
