If you’ve been following along for awhile, you might know Ryan and I are expecting our first baby in just a matter of days now! It’s been a long journey to get here- nearly four years since we decided we were ready to start a family. After years, two fertility clinics, three failed IUIs, one failed embryo transfer… we are almost at the finish line: it’s almost time to meet the baby!
In the early years, I dreamed about what a baby shower would look like. As time went on, I didn’t think the day would ever happen. I can’t explain how grateful I am for all of the support and love we received at the baby shower. It meant the world to me, and the entire day felt completely surreal and over so quickly.
The baby’s nursery is loosely Beatrix Potter themed, so that’s what we decided to do for the shower. We also decided to have the shower at our house, which made cleanup and organization so easy and relaxing. I loved that we could simply carry the gifts right up the stairs to the nursery, and I felt so comfortable and relaxed. My mom did most of the work- she is great at things like this! I want to thank my little sister Kerrie for co-hosting. I also want to give a shoutout to Ali who took my camera and grabbed so many great memories that otherwise I wouldn’t have had time to get. Ali, you are awesome!!
Some of my favorite details were the Peter Rabbit lettuce seed packets for guests to take home, the balloon arch crafted by Lux Aeir, the carrot pillow I snagged at Homegoods, the delicious cookies LyndaLous baked, and the gorgeous florals by Country Squire Florist.
I could go on and on about the day. Here are some highlights!
